In an exclusive interview with the Derbyshire Evening Telegraph Karen Hebden, Derby Playhouses’s chief executive has revealed that she will step down from her post once the theatre is brought out of administration. The move is reported an effort to build bridges with former stakeholders in the theatre. Speaking to the Telegraph Ms Hebden spoke of the opportunity to move the theatre forwards “What we need now is a peacemaker, somebody to build bridges and take the theatre forward. The Arts Council has asked for significant change as it lost confidence in Derby Playhouse Limited. We now have a new board of trustees, a new business plan and cash to go forward.”
